I also do not know if these files will work in older versions of Cinema 4D. So I may not be able to answer as many questions as I might have been able to 6 months ago. xD You can't just copy and paste the Blender effects I use, they require tweaking on a per scene basis. I'm not giving out any Blender presets for those who are wondering, because there is no preset. These to are the main ones that I consistently used, and I see as the only ones you guys would be interested in. I am willing to add any other Cinema 4D effects/objects I haven't included here. You can then drag the material on to whatever object you want to look like water. Simply select the water material and use CTRL + C (or the equivalent on a mac) to copy it, and either create a new scene, or open an existing one, and then use CTRL + V to paste the material into it. C4D file you downloaded from the Dropbox link above, and it will also be entirely empty except for the water material down at the bottom. (Can't remember if I used it in any other photos.) If you don't like the direction the sky is facing, simply rotate it to fit your scene.ĭownload: I used this water shader in my two greatest Minecraft photos. Once you have pasted the sky in, it will take effect and will show up in renders. Simply select the physical sky, use CTRL + C to copy it (or the equivalent of that on a mac) and then either create a new scene, or open up an existing scene, and use CTRL + V to paste it in. C4D file that you downloaded from my Dropbox link, and it will be entirely empty except for the physical sky. You will most likely need to rotate it to get it to fit your particular scene, as the ways you can use this preset are limited due to the physics of light.

It requires Ambient Occlusion and Global Illumination to be enabled in your render settings for it to have full effect. This physical sky is the most resource intensive of my presets. (Which are the photos I see as my greatest creations.) (sometimes by 10x or more depending on your PC) They are not well optimized for render speed, and are designed around the best quality that I could achieve.ĭownload: This is the physical sky I used in these photos. Please keep in mind, these presets WILL increase your render time. I would love to see what you guys use them for! Giving credit to me for using these presets isn't required, but I do appreciate it! If you do make something using these effects, do send me a link to it! Or even just leave a comment on this journal with the link. You are free to use these in any way you would like, including commercially. I hope these presets help you just as much as they did for me. And keeping these effects to myself would be a waste. I'm mainly giving these out because I don't even use Cinema 4D anymore. I'm going to give out download links to the water material, and the physical sky I have used in just about all of my pictures/animations in which I used Cinema 4D. (If any.) So I feel that this may be a good time to give back to the community that has supported me in the short time that I have been here. As some of you may know, I don't intend to make many more Minecraft related photos.
